Pentory Terms of Service

Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service establish the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Pentory (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and its users regarding the use of AI-based content summarization services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" refers to the AI-powered content summarization service provided by the Company, which includes summarization of YouTube videos, news articles, and blog posts.
  2. "User" refers to both members and non-members who use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  3. "Member" refers to an individual who has registered by providing personal information to the Company and can continuously receive information and use the Service.

Chapter 2: Service Usage

Article 3 (Service Provision)

  1. The Company provides the following services:

    • YouTube video content summarization
    • Blog post summarization
    • Any additional services developed by the Company or provided through partnership agreements
  2. The Company may divide the Service into specific segments and designate separate usage times for each segment.

Article 4 (Service Usage Restrictions)

  1. The Company may restrict service provision in the following cases:
    • When maintenance, replacement, malfunction, or communication interruption of service equipment occurs
    • When normal service usage is hindered due to service traffic overload
    • In cases of force majeure, including natural disasters or national emergencies

Chapter 3: Obligations and Responsibilities

Article 5 (Company Obligations)

  1. The Company shall make its best efforts to provide stable services.
  2. The Company shall address user opinions or complaints if deemed legitimate.
  3. The Company shall strive to protect users' personal information in accordance with relevant laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 6 (User Obligations)

  1. Users shall not engage in the following activities:
    • Registering false information when applying for or changing service usage
    • Impersonating others
    • Modifying information posted by the Company
    • Reproducing, distributing, or commercially using information obtained through the Service without prior approval
    • Infringing on the Company's or third parties' copyrights and other rights

Chapter 4: Miscellaneous

Article 7 (Copyright Attribution and Usage Restrictions)

  1. All copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Company.
  2. Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for profit or allow third parties to use information obtained through the Service without prior approval from the Company.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company shall not be responsible for service provision in cases of force majeure, including natural disasters, war, telecommunication service suspension, or other similar circumstances.
  2. The Company shall not be responsible for service disruptions caused by user negligence.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for any loss of expected profits by users through the Service, nor for any damages arising from materials obtained through the Service.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Any legal disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters.

Article 10 (Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms shall be effective from December 31, 2024.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
  3. When amending these Terms, the Company shall specify the effective date and reasons for amendment and announce them along with the current Terms on the Company's website homepage from 7 days prior to the effective date until the day before the effective date.
